Centrifugal Inline Exhaust Fan
Product Overview
A centrifugal inline exhaust fan combines the static pressure of a centrifugal impeller with the convenience of in-line duct installation. The ordinary centrifugal fan has a volute with inlet and outlet at different directions, so installing it in a straight duct needs an extra bend. The inline design puts the impeller and motor inside a cylindrical or square casing with flanges at both ends, so air enters one end and leaves the other, and the unit is bolted in series with no bend or reducer.
Core Advantages
Inline casing, bolted in series in an existing duct. Both ends carry standard duct flanges, so the fan replaces a section of duct without the duct being re-routed. On a retrofit where the duct route is fixed, this means the fan is dropped in and bolted.
Backward-curved impeller inside a cylindrical casing. Static pressure 150–700 Pa in a casing that occupies less vertical height than a volute-type centrifugal fan, which matters in a ceiling void.
Motor external on a bracket, or external-rotor integrated in the casing. Two arrangements are available: a motor outside the casing on a bracket, which is easier to service, or an external-rotor motor integrated in the casing, which is more compact.
Air volume 300–10,000 m³/h with 150–700 Pa. The band that covers branch boosting and terminal exhaust in hotel, office and mall duct systems where the duct is already fixed.
Application Scenarios
• Mid-duct boosting on hotel guest room exhaust ducts
• Branch ducts before an office toilet exhaust riser
• Terminal boosting in a mall exhaust system
• Replacement of an existing inline fan in a finished ceiling
• Projects where the duct cannot be re-routed but static pressure has to be raised

Quality Control
Flange faces are fitted with protective covers and the impeller is fixed against rotation in transit. Packing is carton or wooden case. On the external-rotor version the rotor-to-casing clearance is checked before packing, since that clearance is what keeps the rotor from rubbing in service.
FAQ
Q: How does a centrifugal inline exhaust fan differ from a duct axial fan?
A: A duct axial fan uses an axial impeller with high air volume but low static pressure, and suits short ducts with low resistance. A centrifugal inline exhaust fan uses a centrifugal impeller with two to three times the static pressure, and suits longer ducts, multiple bends or a filter in line.
Q: Can this fan be installed in a ceiling void?
A: Yes. The inline design takes less height than a volute-type centrifugal fan, which suits ceiling void installation. Anti-vibration hangers are recommended, and flexible connectors at inlet and outlet reduce vibration and noise transmission.
