Product Overview
A direct driven centrifugal fan is the same direct-coupled arrangement as the previous unit, but it is specified as a component inside larger equipment rather than as a stand-alone fan. It is built into drying equipment as a circulation fan, into industrial cleaning equipment as an exhaust fan, and into printing equipment as a waste-gas fan. What the equipment maker buys is a functional component that runs continuously and needs long maintenance intervals.
Core Advantages
S1 continuous-duty industrial motor. The motor is designed for continuous duty (S1) and can run 24 hours uninterrupted at rated conditions. For equipment that runs around the clock, this is the basis for specifying the fan into the machine.
Double-sealed bearings against dust and moisture. Bearings are double-sealed, which keeps dust and moisture out of the bearing races. On equipment integrated into a production line, bearing access for replacement is usually poor, so sealing matters more than on a stand-alone fan.
Continuous-welded volute. The volute is continuously welded rather than spot-welded, so the casing does not leak at the seam. A leaking seam on a component inside equipment is difficult to trace and repair.
Impeller balanced to G6.3. Vibration is held to G6.3, which is the level equipment makers need when the fan is bolted to a machine frame rather than to a building structure.
